Sacred Art, expressed in literal or abstract form, depicts images, icons or symbols held in the consciousness of humanity.
The intent of Sacred Art is to maintain and nurture a relationship to an ideology of something greater than oneself. Sacred Art transcends the boundaries of artistic acumen and technical skill. For art to truly be sacred it requires that the vehicle of it's expression, at least in the moment of its creation, has transcended self and all of its limitations.
The absence of ideation in the process of creation allows that which arises in the artists' awareness, manifesting through their hands to be imbued with the Divine, creating a passageway to the sacred that resides in all being.
